Emotional eating / comfort eating / stress eating / boredom eating – there’s so many names for what a lot of us do – turn to food (or drink!) whenever we feel certain things – no matter how much we don’t want to and how much we really want to lose weight.
It doesn’t make any difference whatsoever whatever weight loss or diet plan you are following, learning how to recognise, plan ahead and cope with emotional eating is key to achieving your weight loss goals and importantly, keeping that weight off – regardless of what life throws at you.

There’s no simple cure to emotional eating – each of us is different, has different triggers, different reactions and emotional eating manifests itself differently not only from person to person but differently in each person at different points in their life or in reaction to different emotions.
There are two things that we do all have in common: we can’t live a life without emotions and we can learn how to manage our emotional eating so that feel in control rather than allowing food to be in control of us.
What you'll learn on this course
I’m absolutely not going to tell you that I am going to help you ‘cure’ your emotional eating forever (if I knew how to do that, I’d be a millionaire) but what you are going to learn is how to manage it, reach your weight loss goals in spite of being an emotional eater and how to live the rest of your life with a much healthier relationship to food and your emotions!
The course will cover topics such as:
- What emotional eating is
- How to recognise the difference between physical hunger and emotional hunger
- What your personal triggers are right now and how to spot them in the future
- Coping strategies and ways to manage what would have been an emotional eating moment in different ways
- Picking yourself up after a blip and not allowing things to spiral out of control
What's included
Weekly online lessons – if you can’t attend live, don’t worry as they will all be recorded so you can watch at any time – the live sessions will include Q and A time at the end of each session
Week One – what actually is emotional eating, why do we do it, recognising the difference between emotional and physical hunger and starting to explore when you do it and what habits you’ve formed around it
Week Two – discovering your personal triggers both now and in the future, emotional awareness and spotting patterns and trends in your behaviour
Week Three – coping strategies to put in place instead of food/drink and planning ahead for future emotional eating episodes
Week Four – picking yourself up after a blip (we will all have them), learning from yourself, managing guilt and some nutritional tips too
Each week’s lesson will be accompanied by a Reflection Worksheet for you to work on throughout the week
You’ll also receive Guidance Handouts with helpful tips and strategies linked to each lesson
Support I’ll be in touch regularly via email throughout the course and if you join my Whatsapp group, I’ll be providing daily motivation and learning points too.
If you do want some personalised 1-2-1 help, you can choose the Course plus 1-2-1 support option and receive two 45 minute 1-2-1 sessions which can be taken at any time from the time of sign up up until 21st March.
About Me
Hi, I’m Georgina and I have worked as a weight loss coach since 2013 supporting clients both in a group setting and 1-2-1. Having struggled with my own weight since childhood, at age 34 I started my last ever ‘diet’ going on to lose over 10 stone by changing my mindset, addressing my emotional eating behaviours and changing my lifestyle in terms of nutrition, exercise and health.
I help people change because I absolutely know how you feel if you struggle with your weight and have spent too many years on the ‘on a diet / off a diet’ rollercoaster.
Emotional Eating is still something I work on personally as it never goes away – but it doesn’t have to mean that you can’t manage to live life at a healthy weight AND still identify as an emotional eater.
